JC and DV

Just a quick post on what I received in my mail yesterday. I had been waiting for these packages for more than a week and when it didn't arrive last week, I was pretty disappointed. But getting it yesterday morning was a good start to my week.

The first is the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy which I really didn't like in the beginning. But when I had to chose the prize for the Solestruck Photobooth, I was confused between the What and Tardy. I loved the style of the What but my boy thought that Tardy was more of a everyday-wear. In the end, I decided to go with the What. My mind was still stuck on the Tardy so just decided to get it anyway from Solestruck which by the way, have the best customer service.

The second is the DV by Dolce Vita "Wentz" Tassel Oxford Loafers. This one I got for a really great deal. ASOS was having a sale for just 24 hours where you had to pick the items you wanted to see on the sale and even though none of my items were chosen, I still got some pretty good stuff for a great deal. After making an alarm on my phone, waiting patiently in front of my laptop, sweating and panicking for a while, I was ready to rumble. I was hoping for the best since the Asos website usually malfunctions during sales. But in the end, it was worth the wait and I grabbed this baby for $20.

Anyway, I have to get back to studying since I have my exam this weekend. I hope you lovelies have a wonderful week ahead.

Bits of Denim

This was my take on denim and denim which I wore on Thursday when the sun was still out. But now that I look through the pictures, I don't like it that much. I could have worn it a little different like button up my shirt and then tucked it in. Looking at the weather forecast, I knew that it was going to go back to being cold from Friday onwards so that day, I left the house as quickly as I can to absorb all the heat and warmth. I decided to wear my flat military boots because of its comfort.

On another note, I watched Paranormal Activity 3 and thought I would challenge myself by watching  it at the theaters. BAD IDEA. Now its a challenge to go to the toilet at night without jumping at the slightest sound or even my own shadow.

Oh, Happy Day!

I have broken my own blogging rule of not posting on my blog every other day. The reason for that is a take home exam which kept me occupied for few days. This being my first take home exam, I didn't like it one bit. I'd rather sit through three hours of intense writing than going through that again. I didn't get enough sleep or food, and with the pressure from the exam, there was a whole lot of rage building up which I took out on my keyboard.

So as soon as I gave in the exam, we decided to take a break by going for a barbecue.  It was one of the best days in Hobart with sun shining for a full day without hint of cold weather. It was nice not having to wear a sweater or stockings for a change and with one exam over, the feeling of relief and warmth put a big smile on my face.

About A Boy

A quick post on what I wore during the weekend when my boy decided to take me out to the city. You lovelies might wonder why my boy is the one always taking me to the city and no one else. The reason to that is that firstly, I don't have many girlfriends out here. To be honest, I don't have any.. I do have some friends from University but not very close ones or the type where you go shopping with (didn't know there was a "type" till now). Most of my close friends out here are guys and you know how it is to go shopping with guys. After 5 seconds of entering the Mall, its "can we go home?" or "can we just sit somewhere?". So every time I get a visit from my very close girlies, its like "Yay, Shopping time!".

The other reason, my boy has to take me to the city is that even though I have a car, I don't know the Australian road rules too well or maybe I'm just afraid of driving here, So he's my designated driver. Oh, well! What ever the reason is, he still takes time off, takes me to the city and tries to look as enjoyable as he can so I'm not complaining here :)

PS: I know I said this was going to be a quick post but I have a hard time stopping once I get started. LOL
